Nice.  Your's is much more refined than mine.  Here's what I muddied up bud!

If you read the post you'll realize you inspired me to finally spend a day and go bare metal with this MBP.  No boot loader at all!! Linux EFI Stub dude.

Awesome, I feel it's time for a brownish setup :)
BTW, is that OS X? Does the Xresources/defaults thing work the same there as in Linux (might be dumb question)?

Yeah, I made it on OS X using the Terminal, DigitalColor Meter and PixelMator.  Would be the same as using Terminator, Gpick, and Gimp.  OS X doesn't honor Xresources like Linux/BSD, so I had to copy and paste all the values to a text file, lol.  That's because it's not running an X server by default.

Cool. I was actually wondering lately, if OS X was using X. But I should have guessed not, they don't have driver problems :P

Yeah, X or XQuartz should I say was borked on Mavericks last I checked.  Probably working now.  It's kind of counterproductive to run XQuartz and a WM on OS X though.  I mean everything else is running in NeXtStep cocoa whatever and separate.  X in a Linux or BSD VM runs sometimes faster than bare metal responsiveness wise.  I usually go that route.

Hopefully Wayland will be a nice replacement for X. And a VM faster than the real thing, I'm somehow not even surprised lol
For some reason I always thought you were a Linux-only kinda guy.
